Fourth-grade students at John Pearl Elementary School recently practiced their spelling skills with the use of hockey sticks. During their physical education class, the students used their hockey sticks to collect beanbags to spell out words related to the popular sport.

As they worked to collect their beanbags, their classmates encouraged them on by yelling out the letters necessary to complete the sequence, arriving at completed hockey-related terms such as “stick,” “goal” and “score.”
