Students throughout Duffield Elementary School recently participated in the Sumdog Eastern Suffolk Math Contest, joining a total of 1,612 other participating students throughout Long Island.  

Sumdog is aligned with the NYS Common Core and Next Generation Learning Standards, as the games keep students motivated and eager to learn. They are asked to solve simple mathematical equations, which would in turn further their progress and enhance their overall class scores. 

“Duffield was very proud to have 9 of the top 10 students from Suffolk County in their school,” said Duffield Elementary School Math Specialist Cathy Ebbecke. “Congratulations to all!”
