Field Hockey Team Celebrates Senior Day

The Connetquot High School field hockey team faced off against Northport High School on Oct. 10, as the senior players celebrated their season thus far during a highly attended senior night celebration.

Seniors Gina Aceto, Julianna DiSilvestre, Brielle McGullam and Victoria O’Toole were each given a round of applause by their proud teammates and friendly crowd of family and friends.

Despite the loss to Northport High School, Coach Piscitelli was proud of her players, especially her seniors, for the determination they displayed on the playing field. The T-Birds played hard for 40 minutes and didn’t quit at any point. Connetquot’s Gina Aceto and Emma McKean combined for 23 saves against Northport.

“These are great kids and I wouldn’t trade them for any others,” said coach Piscitelli.  “This has been a challenging season for these young ladies, as they are playing a very difficult schedule. They continue to learn the game every day and play with class. Coach Maracia and I are so very proud of these young ladies.”
