Field Hockey Team Faces Tough Competition

Despite their best efforts, the Connetquot High School varsity field hockey team accumulated two tough losses this week, one to West Babylon High School with a final score of 4-1 and the other to Commack High School by a score of 2-0.

During the West Babylon game, Connetquot goalie Emma McKean earned 11 saves for the T-Birds and Gina Aceto also earned three saves on goal. Karly Hokenson provided the only point for Connetquot.

Despite 17 saves by McKean, the T-Birds were unable to outscore Commack High School. During the exciting Suffolk League I contest, Connetquot played Commack evenly in the first half, only to have the visitors outscore the home team 2-0 in the second half.

Ladies Tennis Team Loses Despite Best Efforts

The Connetquot High School girls tennis team showcased their skills and talents during the Sept. 20 competition against Bay Shore High School, but fell just short of a win by an overall score of 4-3.
The team, along with coaches Amy Cohen and Tracy Griffith, is looking to regroup over the long weekend and come back strong going into the second half of the season.
