Incoming ninth-graders recently attended the Connetquot High School Freshman Orientation, as administrators, staff and upperclassmen warmly welcomed the Class of 2021 into their new high school environment.

Connetquot High School Principal Kenneth J. Costa welcomed all in attendance and spoke about several programs and initiatives students will experience throughout the school year. Additionally, Connetquot High School staff members and administrators offered a brief welcome and explained their roles within the district. Student council representatives discussed the code of conduct, the importance of community service and introduced their devised T-Bird mantra based on the slogan “What Would a T-Bird Do?” which will serve as a guideline for all students this upcoming school year.

Before concluding their visit, the incoming students explored the building alongside their new classmates, tried out their locker combinations and joined one another in classrooms for icebreakers.
