In accordance with their studies on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, fifth-grade students at Duffield Elementary School recently visited two historically significant locations – the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan and Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park in Queens. “The day was a memorable experience for all,” said fifth-grade teacher Katie Clare. “Students came prepared with the necessary background knowledge, and left with a deeper appreciation of the rights we have and who works to protect them.”
