Members of the Connetquot High School Habitat for Humanity Club, along with Habitat for Humanity Club co-advisers Jason Wilans and Dennis Fagan, district administrators and high school staff, recently traveled to Mastic to continue their efforts to build homes for the less fortunate in Suffolk County.
In addition to working on the construction site and helping to build the house, Connetquot has continued to be the leader among the region’s student chapters in raising funds in support of the Suffolk Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. At the Mastic build, Mr. Wilans and Mr. Fagan presented two checks totaling more than $6,000 for the charity.
In the 17 years since the formation of Connetquot’s Habitat for Humanity Club, it has donated over $150,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk County.
