Ronkonkoma Middle School students learned about one of the darkest times in recent history when they attended a powerful presentation hosted by visiting Holocaust survivor Werner Reich on Friday, March 17.

Mr. Reich shed light upon the tragedies he faced during the Holocaust and the importance of standing up for those who are oppressed.
Throughout the course of his speech, he made reference to “the good people who did nothing” during the time of the Holocaust and reminded students that it is necessary to help others in need, and to not become a bystander when they witness a negative action against others.
