Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School staff, students and administrators recently visited Ockers Gardens on Montauk Highway in Oakdale, keeping up with the annual tradition where students and staff members sing and play holiday favorites for senior residents and visitors.
Coordinated by ELA teacher Pearl Haber-Zaiff and members of the OBMS Music Department, this annual holiday celebration generates a wonderful holiday spirit for the residents. More than 75 “senior friends” were served holiday treats while they enjoyed an entertaining series of tunes and songs by the students.
“This celebration was a huge success and helped make the holiday special for the seniors, as well as our OBMS students,” said Mrs. Haber-Zaiff. “I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this Ockers Gardens visit such a success.”
