On July 22 and 23, Connetquot High School honored its graduating class with two outdoor, “drive-through” commencement ceremonies on school grounds. In accordance with statewide social distancing guidelines, groups of just 15 students graduated at a time and proud family members exited their vehicles to watch them receive their diplomas. The grounds were adorned in school colors and, thanks to the Bohemia, West Sayville and Lakeland fire departments, an oversized American flag suspended on two fire truck cranes was the backdrop for the ceremonies. Both days’ events were also broadcasted live via simulcast on radio station 90.5 FM, as well as on Youtube.

The Connetquot Central School District is immensely proud of its Class of 2020 and congratulates them for a job well done, wishing them much happiness and success in their future endeavors.
